After eight years working as an accounting supervisor in Brazil, Wellington noticed that he was missing something in his career and in his personal life. In 2010 he decided to leave his job to challenge himself by moving to Australia. The first challenge was to learn English so that he’d be able to find a job and secondly, the adaptation process was much harder than expected! The plan was to move back to Brazil after six months of learning English, which he had hoped would enable me to build a better career in Brazil. He fell in love with Australia, and so decided to extend his stay and studied for a Diploma of Accounting, Certificate IV in Business and then Masters of Accounting. The challenge did not finish there. The next step would be getting a job in accounting to get familiar with the Australian business culture and also put in practice everything that he had learnt from university, teamed with his professional experience back in Brazil. His first accounting job in Australia last three months as an intern in a bookkeeping firm. After the three months internship, he was employed as junior bookkeeper for two years before his journey with The Accounts Studio began. After joining The Accounts Studio, I have not stopped developing my professional skills so that I can take the stress and hassle of bookkeeping away from my clients. In 2019, The Accounts Studio merged with Carbon Group to launch Carbon Sydney. I became a partner and so my career continues to develop.

Trudi joins us as a Bookkeeping & CFO Services Partner in Sydney, following the partnership between her firm Numeric Eight and Carbon Group. Having founded Numeric Eight in 2006, she successfully nurtured it into one of Australia’s largest independently owned bookkeeping and accounts management firms. This union between Numeric Eight and Carbon Group showcases Trudi’s vast expertise. Leading a passionate Sydney-based team of over 35 professionals, Trudi seamlessly blends her love for numbers with her dedication to mentoring SME owners, ensuring excellence in service for every client.

Marc joined Carbon Group in 2017 as the establishing partner of our CFO Services division, bringing along with him an excess of seven years’ experience servicing a portfolio of international, listed, government and private clients. He enjoys providing financial advice to his clients which result in their businesses growing. One stand-out achievement for Marc was when he successfully transitioned a world-wide organisation across to Xero and seeing them achieve better efficiencies as a result. Areas where he has helped other organisations are through cost analysis and how an organisation can improve their bottom line.
