Abi has over 15 years’ experience in providing strategic tax advice in all areas of tax law. She has strong technical and practical skills advising and assisting clients across a range of industries, but with particular emphasis on funds management and property. Abi’s clients include a number of ASX listed and wholesale property funds, equity funds, corporate entities and large complex private groups. Abi has been actively involved in submissions to the ATO and the State Revenue Office on numerous land tax, stamp duty and Division 7A issues. She also advises a number of other accounting firms in a specialist capacity on issues affecting their clients. Abi’s experience includes: Advising Funds on the appropriate structure to achieve optimal tax outcomes for investors including consideration of income tax, withholding tax and AMIT regime. Providing strategic tax advice for foreign multinationals looking to acquire businesses and properties in Australia. Providing income tax, GST and stamp duty advice on M&A transactions. Advising large private groups on various complex tax issues such as Division 7A, section 100A, income distributions, tax loss recoupment and management of tax audits. Andy has extensive experience providing accounting, taxation and business advisory services to a broad spectrum of clients, ranging from high net worth individuals to large private businesses and subsidiaries of foreign multinationals. He regularly assists foreign businesses and investors on their move to Australia, providing initial structuring and set up advice, strategic tax planning, ongoing operational advice, as well as full accounting, tax and corporate secretarial compliance outsourcing services. Andy’s skills include assisting both locally and foreign owned businesses across a range of industries including hotels and hospitality, financial and professional services, start-ups, information technology, property and construction and wholesaler and distributor. In addition, Andy has developed expertise in providing strategic business and outsourcing services for major hotels and hospitality groups in Australia. His experience includes assisting these clients with due diligence assignments, cross border structuring advice, funding negotiation, post-acquisition settlement review and acting as outsourced CFO with the responsibility of managing the full finance and compliance functions. His multilingual speaking skills (English, Chinese, Malaysian and Indonesian) together with his ability to bridge the language and cultural barriers have been invaluable in his dealings with businesses from all around the world including China, USA, Europe and other South East Asian countries such as Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. Bessie has more than 17 years’ professional experience. She led audit and advisory teams for IPO projects and multinational clients covering a wide variety of industries including mining, industrial market, consumer market and service industry. Prior to joining SW, Bessie was appointed the Chief Financial Officer for an ASX listed mining company which equipped her with extensive corporate governance and risk management experience. Bessie has a wealth of professional experience and an extensive background in accounting, audit and management. Bessie’s experience includes: Understanding both Australian accounting standards (AIFRs) and PRC GAAPs. Bessie has been qualified for Australia and China’s CPA for more than 10 years and 16 years respectively. She is familiar with PRC GAAPs and international financial reporting standards (IFRS) Knowledge in managing international companies. Bessie has led auditing and advisory engagements involving national and international companies.
